Before our first session, I will provide you with some basic intake paperwork for you to fill out, sharing a little about your background and what brings you to therapy. Then, in our first session, we’ll use your intake paperwork as a guide to discuss your current challenges, your strengths, and the change and growth you’d like to bring into your life through therapy. We’ll identify goals, address any questions you may have, and create a plan for your time in therapy.

At the start of therapy, I recommend that we meet weekly for 50-minute sessions. Meeting weekly will allow us to build trust and momentum towards your goals sooner than less frequent sessions. After working together for some time and depending on your progress, we can discuss the possibility of decreasing the frequency of our meetings (ie, biweekly).
With this in mind, I understand that not all clients can make this commitment for a variety of reasons. If this is the case, we can certainly discuss whether bi-weekly sessions are appropriate during our consultation call.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected costs of your mental health care. Under federal law, providers must give a written estimate to clients who are not using insurance or paying out of pocket.
This estimate outlines the expected charges for services, including psychotherapy. If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
